ABOUT ME
I’m a lifelong learner with a passion for education, writing, reading, food and travel; as well as helping people, animals and the environment. I currently spend my days serving the residents of the City of Cedar Rapids as Utilities Communications Specialist with the City, sharing critical and time-sensitive information about water, solid waste and recycling, sustainability efforts and more. I have a years-long history of working in education and communications fields, and I am interested in opportunities that allow me to help make the world a better place for all.
My degrees are in English, writing and education, so I’ve always been a reader, writer, communicator and teacher. I love taking complex text and information and making it more concise and clear. I’m also a grammar nerd, and I love editing, especially using brightly colored pens.
